In addition to the general rules, there are some other things to consider when posting in the 'Role-Playing' area of the forum:

1 - You must register with the forum and create a character profile before role-playing. Your character can be from any FF, or any other game that you think works with the genre, or a character of your own.
2 - If you're playing an existing character, don't change their characteristics completely. For example, don't make Sephiroth a balaclava-knitting member of the W.I, or Vivi a bodybuilder.
3 - Don't be too graphic. We all know every once in a while characters will fall in mad passionate love, or brutally murder one another, but PLEASE don't go into the details...
4 - If you're moving from one place in the rp world to another, remember to make the move clear in your posts. We don't want people to get confused. Ideally, write in bold at the bottom of your post where your character is moving to:
e.g. Squall has moved to Nibelhiem.
5 - Don't use your character as an excuse to insult one another. Sure, a character like Seifer would insult other characters, but that's not all he should be doing at any given time...
6 - Don't give your characters phenomenal cosmic powers that would make the game unfair: i.e. no immortal or invulnerable characters, no ability to kill people instantaneously, no ability to control other characters like puppets, etc, etc. If you're not sure if your powers exceed the limitations of fairness, don't hesitate to PM me or post in the 'Queries' section.
7 - Don't ignore other characters. If someone new comes along, try to encorporate them into the plot as quickly as possible.
8 - Be aware that if you don't post for a long period of time, you run the risk of your character being made available for other users - especially if your character happens to be rather popular, such as Aeris, Tidus, Balthier, etc...
9 - Oh, and you can be any existing recurring character (Cid, Biggs, Wedge, etc.) as long as you specify which version of them you are: Cid from FFIV, for example.
